museum Pensacola Flying Adventure
It is great when like minded friends get together, especially when all are pilots. That was the case when five of us flew in two airplanes from Ormond Beach to Pensacola recently. Three were in a Cirrus and two in a Cessna 172. In addition to the sheer fun of flying, we spent an entire day at the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola.

Early morning on March 26, 2011, three airplanes depart Ormond Beach, FL for Savannah, GA. There were two pilots in each airplane, a Piper Archer II, a Cessna Skyhawk, and a Cirrus SR22. The objective was to have fun flying and visiting the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum in Savannah. Mission accomplished with a fine dinner Saturday night and a return flight Sunday. See the museum website for additional information on the museum:

My friend purchased a new light sport airplane (LSA). These photos were made in the Daytona Beach area and also playing in the clouds from Ormond Beach, FL to Huntsville, AL.

This is a video of my good friend and fellow pilot showing what a stabilized approach to a perfect landing looks like from the passenger side of his Cessna 172. The scene was videoed on a perfect day at Ormond Beach airport May 11, 2009.
